Oenology is about the design, management and supervision of all the activities, methods and techniques concerned with grape growing and wine making. It also involves the technical and sensory monitoring that guarantees the quality of the end product and boosts its organoleptic characteristics.

This activity offers participants the chance to learn about the key elements of this profession, from a practical perspective and in a unique setting, at the Finca de los Zamorano (Tegueste). You will discover first-hand the collection of 35 wines from the Canary Islands, allowing you to learn about the secrets of different methods of vine growing; traditional, trellis, short arbour, ditches in La Geria, horizontal braiding, and others. The activity will end at the traditional winepress in the Casa de los Zamorano, with a guided tasting of three local wines. A chance to learn more about tasting techniques and how to appreciate the main organoleptic and sensorial properties.
